Fr.
Roman was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, in May 14, 1958. Earned his High
Schoo diploma from Holy Rosary School, also in Yauco, in 1976. He
studied philosophy at Regina Cleri Seminary in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and
Theology at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome,
Italy. He was ordained priest in March 9, 1989 by bishop Torres Oliver
at his home parish in Yauco, Puerto Rico. He earned the licentiate in
Canon Law at the Catholic University of America, in Wathington, D.C. He
earned a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from the Inter
American University of Puerto Rico in San German, Puerto Rico. He was
parocuial vicar in Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Arroyo, Our Lady of
Guadalupe, which is the Cathedral of Ponce diocese, Saint Dominic of
Guzman in Yauco, and was Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes in Juana Diaz,
all in Puerto Rico. While studying in Washington DC he was priest
resident in Our Lady of Lourdes in Bethesda, Maryland. He also worked as
defender of the bond and judge at the Interdiocesan Ecclesiastical
Tribunal located in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
He was appointed parochial vicar at St. Cecilia Church begining October
1, 2008. |
