St. Cecilia School &
Academy
Our Philosophy:
Through education
we strive to love God, our neighbors and ourselves.
Our Vision:
St. Cecilia School is a Catholic elementary, Christ-centered
urban school helping to prepare its students to proclaim the Good News
and to translate Gospel values into action. The education received
is important both for the individual, in promoting the dignity of human
life, and for society, in actively pursuing peace and justice.
These skills and virtues are necessary for effective service to the
community, and for the development of a well-balanced person.
Therefore, as a faith community, we see that our Vision is to
provide an atmosphere in which each child can develop spiritually,
intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.
Our Mission:
In order to accomplish our vision, St. Cecilia is
committed to: |
- rigorous academic programs
- racially and economically diverse families
- incorporating educational best practices
- personal, group and liturgical prayer
- encouraging children to be thoughtful, creative,
and industrious in pursuing knowledge
- offering support and opportunities to succeed in
high school and college
- partnering with students and families who are
dedicated to working hard
- service in the neighborhood
- liberating and empowering learning experiences
- lifelong learners
- fostering responsible citizenship
- the NativityMiguel school model, which includes an extended day
and year, graduate support and over 40 enrichment programs
|
| We believe that each student is capable of
learning and that students can excel in academics and in life
regardless of societal influences, socioeconomic status, or
race/ethnic background. We strive to help each child grow as a
well integrated person, able to assume an active role in the Church
and in the world and one who loves God, their neighbors and
themselves. |

students attending St. Cecilia come from economically disadvantaged
backgrounds their tuition is 80% subsidized. Your donation will go
towards filling the gap between what our students' parents can afford
and the financial assistance St. Cecilia's must meet.
Adopt A Student
You can specify that you would like to give the gift of tuition
for a student, even by name. The student who receives your
generous gift will send you a personal update so you can hear about
their progress. many donors build a relationship with a student
that becomes mutually beneficial throughout both their lives.
Other Assistance
Our 6th, 7th and 8th grade academy program is generously funded
by the ACCESS Academies foundation.
